Hong Kong Video Highlights

Here is a highlight video I put together from my recent Hong Kong trip. I recorded all video clips on my iPhone and did all video editing on the iPhone with the iMovie application. So everything was completed on my phone – the first time I have ever done that:

Hong Kong Trip

I leave tomorrow for Hong Kong. This will be my second trip to this incredible city and I am very excited about the chance to visit again. The purpose of my trip is to attend the annual Hong Kong Forum that takes place at the massive Hong Kong Convention Centre right on the harbor (or harbour in Hong Kong). I attended the forum last year and made some great contacts. I also learned a great deal about Hong Kong.

I do work with the Hong Kong Information Center in Atlanta and I will be attending the forum with the director of this center. The purpose of the center in Atlanta is to connect Atlanta businesses with counterparts in Hong Kong. Our goal for this trip is to learn more about Hong Kong from government officials, business leaders, and heads of education as well as to make contacts in Hong Kong that would benefit companies in Atlanta.

I also have some goals for the trip. I would like to make some contacts for my own business, EPR Creations. I’d like to meet potential contractors who could assist in tasks I don’t know how to do. It would be great to secure some new business as well from different people I meet on the trip. I am also trying to get some meetings to pitch The Entrepreneur School. This is a company I am a part of that has hours of video lectures on how to start a business. We would love to expand our presence internationally, and finding partners who could spread the word in other countries would be a big boost to the business.

I also have a meeting set up with the guy that hired me for my first job out of college. He is now the president of a company in Hong Kong and I look forward to catching up.

The last goals are some personal ones. I learned about a running trail that covers a large section of Hong Kong. I’d like to run that at least a couple of times. Also, I am going to record video clips on my iPhone throughout the trip. I will then edit the video clips on the iMovie app and post the completed video to this blog upon my return. So, all of the video capture as well as the editing will be completed on my iPhone. Should be fun!

In work I do with the local Atlanta Hong Kong Information Center, I had the opportunity to travel to Hong Kong last year for the annual forum that took place at the Hong Kong Convention Centre. It is a 2-day conference in which the HK economic & trade office leaders from around the world get together to learn the latest about Hong Kong and meet people from around the world. It was a fascinating event and I am heading back there this year in December.
