LinkedIn makes it very easy to automatically share updates on your Twitter account. I don’t recommend doing this every time but there are situations where posting a LinkedIn update on your Twitter account makes sense. When you write an update on LinkedIn, there is a checkbox next to the Share button that shows a Twitter icon. Simply check that box to post your LinkedIn update on your Twitter account. If you have not connected your Twitter account in LinkedIn, click the down arrow between the Twitter icon and the Share button and you can enter your Twitter settings there.
Be wise with this feature. Not all updates posted on LinkedIn will work on Twitter. For example, Twitter only allows 140 characters in the update. Anything more than that will be cut off. If your LinkedIn update is more than 140 characters, it would be best not to automatically share that update on Twitter but to consolidate the update and post it separately on Twitter.
